Tom Tikka- Amazing Singer Songwriter and Musician
Wednesday Jul 28, 2021
Wednesday Jul 28, 2021
Tom Tikka picked up the guitar at the tender age of six after hearing Paul Anka's "Lonely Boy" in his father's old Chevrolet. Soon afterwards, he began writing songs. Tom's infatuation with music only deepened after his aunt's husband introduced him to the concept of lead guitar and even more importantly to the music of such legendary groups as The Beatles and The Doors. Tikka formed almost as many groups as he disbanded in his late teens and early twenties. Yet, when he finally signed his first recording contract on his 21st birthday, it was a solo deal and not a band effort. He recorded a three-song EP for Olarin Musiikki, a small indie label in Espoo (Finland), under the alias of Tom Spark. Unfortunately, the EP disappeared as quickly as it was released. Consequently, Tikka found himself in square one, without a band or a record deal. Disappointed, Tikka withdrew from music for a few years but began writing songs again once his brother Lappe Holopainen suggested that they form a songwriting team. Lappe had founded a group he was convinced would go far and he needed tunes for his new outfit. This group was Carmen Gray. Carmen Gray was signed to Sony/BMG in 2005 and during the next nine years, they went on to record three albums and one EP. The group's entire catalog (including such radio hits as "Lost In My Mind Again", "Gates Of Loneliness" & "Life Can Be Beautiful") was penned by Tom Tikka & Lappe Holopainen. After Carmen Gray disbanded in 2013, Tikka formed his current group The Impersonators with poet Antti Autio. In 2017, The Impersonators signed with FBP Music Group, a German label based out of Frankfurt. Together with their producer Janne Saksa, The Impersonators have released tunes to rave reviews and a considerable amount of radio attention. In 2020, Tikka began working with MTS Records and released a solo EP titled "Working Class Voodoo" under the name Tom Tikka And The Missing Hubcaps. On this self-produced venture, Tikka plays and sings everything himself. It featured the UK iTunes chart hit title single. On July 31, 2020, Tikka & The Hubcaps released the “Insane” EP on MTS Records. Following the global success of his Christmas classic, “Just Like Xmas (Love Is War),” released the “That’s What Winston Churchill Said” EP including multiple Top 5 iTunes worldwide hits in January 2021, and his single, “Heart’s On Fire” will be released on June 18th, 2021.

Zach Landry- Minister of Music- singer songwriter

Growing up in Vacherie, Louisiana, Zachariah D Landry had a gift and love of music he did not realize. He found himself sitting at a keyboard listening to music then duplicating it. He was told, “Maybe you should take this serious. Not too many people are able to play by ear.” Zack, as he is called by his family and friends, began to play the organ and piano at age 15. He was then placed in classes where he learn how to read music. It did not take long for his family to realize that he was given the gift of music by God. The family’s faith was tried and tested. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina displaced Zack and his family. Times were hard but his faith grew stronger. At that time, he realized what the songwriter meant when he wrote, “Because He Lives.” Zack realized that it was God who had the final say because He held tomorrow. Through this adversity, Zack wrote several songs, “Lord, We Say Thank You” and “I Realize.” He realized his purpose is to win souls for Christ throughout the nation with music. Zack has had the pleasure of singing these song with a group of his friends, Phaze. The group was created in 2008 when Zack was asked to lead praise and worship at his church. In October 2015, Zack and Phaze recorded an album, “Come On, Praise Him.” They have performed at the New Orleans Jazzfest on the Gospel Stage as well as the New Orleans Chapter of Gospel Music Workshop of America. He has also performed with various artists, one of whom more noted, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, who encouraged Zack to “Set a standard in music. Be a trendsetter, not a follower.” In 2015, Zack was the winner of the Rhythm of Gospel Best Contemporary Artist. In 2016, he won the NOLA Award for Best Contemporary Artist. Zack has remained humble in his walk with God. His love for gospel music has not changed. With a neo-soul flare and a jazzy twist, his style not only reaches young people but the young at heart as well. Recognizing the calling God has placed upon him, Zack currently works as Minister of Music. His mission is to “Fulfill God’s word through music.”
